Nowadays, my job title is [Tech] Sr. SEO Specialist @ Shopify. I am specialized in technical SEO and automation. What does that mean? It means that part of my Technical SEO day-to-day involves the process of “tweaking” our website to help search engines being more efficient at crawling and indexing it.

During my free time I like to play with SEO, Data, CMS and a lot of web stuff [Some could call me a Search Engine Optimist] ... but also I am a big cycling aficionados & a tea lover!

So Technical SEO

In one sentence, technical SEO is technical improvements (loading time, auto-generated pages, automation, etc.) on a website with the end goal to enhance the SEO.

Who Am I?

Curious french guy currently living in Montreal, CANADA. I really enjoy technology and the Internet in general. Especially I am curious and love understanding how things work.

Currently working as an SEO Specialist @ Shopify in Canada and really enjoy it! I am part of the Technical SEO, which means I make sure that bots & users find the right information. I also try to automate SEO processes along the way with SQL and Python mainly.

My previous work place: SEO & Data in Canada, Luxembourg and France

Before Shopify I was a SEO Specialist in a web agency in Montreal, QC, CANDA. Former to that I worked as a Data Analyst in LUXEMBOURG and as a SEO and Web analyst consultant in France (Lille, in the Norht of France to be pricise) where I was specialized in SEO, Analysis, e-commerce and online strategies.

Constant learner + giving/sharing person

I really enjoy spending time learning "stuff" (webmarketing, coding, building,...) but also sharing my knowledge, that's why I wrote on several websites and go into forums.

But that's not all, I gave several conferences (& webinars), some courses and company training courses. Subject where about SEO 101, netlinking, e-commerce analysis, web-analysis basics, tech SEO, ...

Webmarketing swiss-army kniff

My coworker used to say about me that I'm a web-marketing swiss-army kniff. I'm familiar with SEO, Data, SEA, SMO and Webanalyses ; and also some tech & stats languages such as R (stat) and Python.

SEO as a passion: also webmastering

Without forgetting that I'm also a webmaster for several website. I live for test and SEO, so I have several website where I try to better understand Google Algorithm. Plus I also help several people to build there e-commerce website thanks to Wordpress (and WooCommerce) and Shopify.

SEO & Data swiss army knife

As a webmarketing swiss army knife I know how to do SEO, analyse data ... but also how to understand how SEA works, launch a SMO campaign and analyse it all thanks to webanalyses tools.

  • SEO

    Search Engine Optimisation is one of the many ways to get trafic on your website. SEO integrates onsite optimisation (technical optimisation and content optimization), but also offsite optimisation with linkbuilding (link baithing & link ninja).

  • Data

    In a world of Big Data there is data everywhere! My goal as a Data Specialist is to gather all needed data - preferably thanks to automation with API for example - and be able to analyse it to extract optimizations. In SEO it could came from Google Search Console, Google Analytics and log analysis for example ; that could also could be consolidated by backlink analysis.

  • Ecommerce

    What is ecommerce (also electronic commerce), is the action to buy and sell goods and/or services thanks to the Internet. I am specialized in SEO and data for ecommerce website, meaning I know how to best optimized your website to get sales!

  • SEA / Ads

    Search Engine Advertising is associated with paid search. It means you will pay to get some traffic from search engines (from search ads and also PLA)...but also from website with display banners. The main product used to do SEA is Adwords, but you can also find that in some market Bing Ads will have larger and larger market parts.

  • SMO

    Social Media Optimisation will help you develop your online strategy on social media like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. On social media you could have organic post but also paid post ; depending on your goal(s) you could use both or either one of them

  • Webanalysis

    How to analyse your traffic? How to get some statistics about your visitors? If you would like to know you will have to insert a script from a webanalyses tool like Google Analytics, AT Internet or Omniture. the next will be follow event linked to your goal
