I'm a Search Engine Optimist

I'm a Search Engine Optimist

Yes, you read it I'm a Search Engine Optimist. As I do SEO nearly every day for more than ten years now, I could say that I work with (for?) Search Engines and I am an Optimist.

Note that this idea of changing the O on SEO from Optimization to Optimist is not mine but the BrightonSEO team (as you can see on the picture from my shirt).

Why Search Engine Optimist?

This term is a playful and creative way to describe someone who is very positive about the potential results of their SEO efforts -- which I am. It's also good to note that this is not a commonly used term in the SEO industry.

Once again, that's just my point of you, and I'll try to update this article to get more insights from the team

What is SEO?

Usually SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It's a process of optimizing a website to achieve higher search engine rankings. It involves many aspects, including keyword research, on-page optimization, link building, and more. SEO aims to improve a site's visibility in organic (non-paid) search engine results, thereby increasing the quantity and quality of traffic.

Where did I get this tshirt?

I participated in the first US version of BrightonSEO in San Diego, California, USA. Part of my ticket included some "goodies" such as this shirt; that I now wear on a regular basis because I like it and the message it spreads!
